The Grind Getting Harder

You Get Stronger

Hey,

I was thinking about you in this morning, and I want to share something that’s been on my mind.

Remember when you first started this journey? Everything felt manageable, right?. You had this energy that carried you through those early days.

But, lately, I know things have been feeling different.

The work feels heavier, doesn’t it? The obstacles seem bigger. That voice in your head that says “this is too hard” has been getting louder. I hear to sometimes.

Here’s what I’ve come to understand:

The grin isn’t supposed to stay the same. However, it’s designed to get heavier right when you’re getting stronger. Think about weightlifting, when 50 pounds starts feeling easy, you don't just keep lifting 50 pounds. You add more weight because you're ready for more.

I remember there was this phase in my own journey where everything felt like it was getting hard every single day. I’d lie awake wondering if I was going backwards. But when I looking back now, I realize that was exactly when I was building the resilience that serves me today.

The fact that you're still here, still showing up even when it feels heavy - that's not normal. Most people have quit by now. But We are different. We're being forged in fire, even if all we feel is the heat.

Tomorrow might feel even harder. Next week might test you in ways you can't anticipate. But here's what I need you to know: you're not the same person who started this journey .

Technique Might Help You

I want to share a tiny technique that’s been a game-changer for me when I feel overwhelmed.

It’s called "Name It to Tame It," and it’s exactly what it sounds like.

Picture this: You’re staring at a deadline, your heart is racing, and your mind is a chaotic storm of thoughts. That heavy, fuzzy feeling of panic starts to set in.

Here’s what you do. Just stop for one second, and gently ask yourself: "What is this feeling?"

Then, say it out loud or in your head. "This is anxiety." Or, "This is pure overwhelm." Or, "I am feeling incredibly stuck."

When you put a name to that vague storm of emotion, you flip a switch in your brain. You’re moving the problem from the emotional center (the panic button) to the logical part (the manager). You’re literally telling your nervous system, "I see this. I can handle this."

You’re not your anxiety. You’re just a person experiencing it. And that small shift? It creates just enough space for you to take a breath and find your next step.

Next time that heavy feeling creeps in, try it. Just name it. You might be surprised how something so simple can make the weight feel a little lighter.

The grind is getting harder because you're getting stronger. And stronger people are meant to carry heavier loads.

Keep going,
